In choosing a place to go, we hope you will consider supporting your local collegiate ballroom dance organizations. Although dances sponsored by your local collegiate clubs and teams may not be "professional", the venues are usually very nice and the standard of dancing is quite high. They undoubtedly can rival those of any commercially sponsored event. Not a college student? Don’t worry. These dances are often frequented by ballroom enthusiasts of all ages. And remember that unlike the case with commercial dances, the proceeds from collegiate dances go directly to the promotion of ballroom dancing.

Keep in mind that this page is not meant to be a comprehensive page of all dancing in the Boston area. This page lists venues featuring primarily ballroom dancing. Other types of dancing such as salsa are not listed here.

But that’s just my opinion…)

Accessibilty by public transportation limited. Near the commuter rail (Fitchburg Line) but the last return trains to town are early so you'd need to find an alternative means of getting home if you don't have a car.
